In the area Steno, 2.5 klm on the way to the village Vathi, there is a cave which was named "Cave of Doves". There is a sign pointing towards the sight.
It has been discovered in 1973 during the opening of the coastal road. It is 2.5 million years old, 250 meters in length and consists of three chambers.
In the first chamber there is a small lake, while in the other two chambers there are some pretty impressive stalagmites in marvelous formations. It is said that the cave extends to below the plateau "Throni".
